Sierra studios, publisher of Half-Life, provides an overview of the game, news, links,
and lots of hype.
- Looking for a polished, extensive Half-Life site, with all-you-can-eat news, links and files?
Planet Half-Life is the WWW's answer to Sizzler for
Half-Life enthusiasts.
- Another elegant, well-rounded site is
www.halflife.org. News, files, and all the other good stuff are here.

WON.NET has a fairly comprehensive Half-Life page, with sources for strategy, editing,
updates, and more.
- Halflife.Net has current Half-Life news, info,
and lots of downloadable movies and similar files. Lots of wholesome reading material here.
- Far2Cool provides info and news in periodical form.
These pages contain the good stuff: maps, skins and decals for your downloading pleasure.
Also included here are pages with information specific to these categories, like the
Decal Bazaar, for example.
- Check out the Half-Life Skins and Levels
Archive for an impressive collection of skins and, um, levels. Make sure to check out
their tips page for a couple of useful gems.
- The
Decal Repository boasts a fantastic archive of user-submitted decals. Lots of cool
decals - Over 300!
- Vandalism has a fairly large library
of general and personal decals to check out.
- Even more decals can be found at Half-Life Taggers

- Can't you get enough? BabelFish's
Half-Life Decals has a super-duper, no-nonsense collection of decals.
- Wavelength also has a
tutorial of their own that you may want to take a peek at.
- Worth mentioning in two categories, the
WON.NET site has links to lots of good stuff, including the Half-Life texture SDK and some
of the more popular skins and maps.
- Wavelength has a bunch of good documentation, tutorials, and files for Half-Life editing. A lot of the material is fairly comprehensive, and covers model creation, level design, and more.
- Even better than Wavelength, the Half-Life Editing Resource Center has the name that says it all. If you want to learn how to create maps or skins, this is the place to go.
- Mod-Central has the scoop on upcoming
Half-Life mods.
The multiplayer game adds a completely new facet to the incredible experience that
is Half-Life. Exclusively multiplayer sites are listed here.
- Radium at Planet Half-Life contains the most extensive archive of deathmatch level reviews I have found on the net.
The maps are available for download, too.
- Aching to join a clan and bust heads in the name of unity?

- The server-seeking utility embedded in Half-Life is pretty decent, but can't quite compete with Gamespy for locating the best active deathmatch games.
- Having targeting trouble during multiplayer games? It might be your mouse.Check out the mouse utilities

- Ready to start making decals like the pros?
JASC software provides a shareware version of
Paint Shop Pro,
the fantastic image-editing utilty that was used to create the decals and artwork
for this site. Paint Shop Pro is also the program featured in the Decal Bazaar's
decal tutorial.
